In this step you may invite others to connect. Click 'INVITE' under Invite others to connect to proceed.
NOTE: This is an optional step that may be skipped now and accessed at a later point.
You have the ability to connect with your Professional Network on the platform. Click within the Connect as text box to select the connection type. As an employee your only option is to select Professional Network. You may invite other connection types in the future based upon your assigned role (Step 5 - Request Role).
To invite existing users on the system, begin typing in the field labeled Who to Connect, 'Enter names or Email….’
Begin typing, and if the system finds any matches after entering three alphanumeric characters, the matches will be displayed. Click your selection and repeat typing names to select multiple connections.
If you enter a name that is not in the system, the following message will appear.
This will require you to enter the users email address, separated by a comma. Click 'NEXT' once you have finished adding your connections' email addresses.
The following screen allows you to review your invitation. This invitation will be linked to your Personal Profile but not to your Organization. You may add additional connections by clicking the 'ADD MORE CONNECTIONS' button or my proceed by clicking the ‘NEXT’ link. You may also delete this connection by clicking the red ' X ' found to the right of the invited contact.
The last pop up allows you to add a note or customize the invitation message. You are offered the option of adding a custom message that will appear in the invitee’s email notification by clicking ‘ADVANCED MESSAGE.' When finished please click ‘SEND NOW.’
Invite Others - Bulk Invite
ALTERNATE PATH: You may also connect with employees using the Bulk Invite or the Import Contacts functionality. Selecting Bulk Invite opens a new screen where you will be asked to contact greenfence Support for assistance by clicking the word 'here' in the popup message.
Invite Others - Import Contacts
ALTERNATE PATH: Selecting Import Contacts functionality opens a new screen. There will be the option to sync your Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook address books. You may also add individual email addresses in the search bar below. Once added, your contacts may be searchable and invited as connections at a later time. Note: all email addresses must be separated by a comma and a space.
The Import Contacts button allows you the ability to add your contacts from your email address book. You may select one or multiple providers from where to upload your contacts.
Invite Others - Manually entering addresses
You can invite others by manually entering email addresses in the field labeled ‘Add email addresses of others you want to add to your address book.’ Separate multiple addresses by a comma and click the ‘ADD CONTACT’ button when finished.
The following message will appear indicating that your contacts have been added.
Your contacts will be listed at the bottom of the screen as shown below.
You will now be returned to the SETUP screen. Please observe that the progress indicator has increased to 85% complete and a checkmark now indicates that Step 4 has been completed. You may either repeat this step to add additional employees or you may progress to Step 5 - Request roles.
