Organization vs Operation

The greenfence platform is defined by organizations. Users join the platform, and have two choices to either join an existing organization or create their own. New organizations have the ability to decide if they are a supplier or a service provider, and this is further illustrated Here. Organizations will have the ability to structure themselves, and this structure is seen through the creation of operations. An operation is a subsidiary of an organization, there can be multiple or none. For example, if you are a corn producer, you can have an operation that packages your corn and a separate operation that is responsible for the corn fields. There isn’t a limit on what an operation can be, which allows you to structure your organization however you want to.
